Issue #4 of The Kove follows Katie's photography as the San Diego comedy scene deals with a pandemic, an essay on Ben Franklin and pirates, and a summer playlist to listen to as you peruse the pages.

What to Watch This Weekend | Iliza Shlesinger - Elder Millennial

Iliza is a powerhouse. She is one of the fastest women in comedy and is not stopping any time soon. She just released her first feature film, Good on Paper on Netflix but trust me, you’ll see her and recognize her from somewhere else because she’s hustled and has been everywhere.

Iliza got her break after winning NBC’s Last Comic Standing in 2008. She has 5 stand-up specials (the first, War Paint, is no longer on Netflix), had a talk show on FreeForm, hosted a game show and a dating show on TBS, has a sketch show on Netflix, published a book, has been in numerous movies, including one with Mark Wahlberg.

And yes, she’s been on Joe Rogan’s Podcast.

Good on Paper is the first feature-length movie from Iliza; something she wrote, starred in, and produced. The summer hit premiere in June on Netflix is based on a ridiculous dating story she once told on Joe Rogan’s Podcast.

Elder Millennial is Iliza’s 4th special and I highly recommend this as a way to get to know her, if you don’t already. This special, like all others, is fast, furious, and full of hashtags because... millennial.

She talks about dating, getting engaged, and how women support and “support” each other. Honestly, she covers so many topics and jokes that, by the end, you’ll wonder if you accidentally sped up Netflix by 2x.
